Sheralynn O’Neal has served with Mercy Regional EMS for 13 years and continues to bring steady commitment and compassion to every shift. Sheralynn began her career as an EMT with Mercy in 2013 and transitioned into the paramedic role earlier this year after earning her certification.
For Sheralynn, the most meaningful part of the job is being a source of calm and encouragement when someone is experiencing one of the hardest moments of their life.
“I get to swoop in like a caffeine-fueled superhero (minus the cape, sadly) and remind people they matter,” Sheralynn said. “That their emergency matters.”
Sheralynn also points to the people as one of the best parts of working at Mercy. The leadership team, coworkers, and local fire department crews she partners with have become like family over the years—relationships built through trust, teamwork, and a shared commitment to serving the community.
“Being part of Mercy for 13 years has truly been an incredible adventure filled with growth, purpose, and unforgettable moments,” Sheralynn said.
Mercy Regional EMS is grateful for Sheralynn’s years of service and proud to recognize the dedication, professionalism, and heart she brings to the team every day.
